Important public notice to the Tasmanian Community
We’re still here
In these uncertain times we just wanted to let you know that TasRail is still working 24/7 to transport critical goods for Tasmanian industry and major freight forwarders. To keep our teams healthy we have been working hard to implement best-practise hygiene and physical distancing measures at our sites around the state, protecting essential frontline staff, and coordinating working from home and split-shift operations where possible.
We know your routine may have changed, but ours hasn’t.
To continue to do what we do best, we need your help. Please:
- Look out for trains at level crossings and obey all normal road rules
- Stay out of the rail corridor and off our bridges and other infrastructure
- Do not enter TasRail sites without permission
TasRail will continue to apply all the procedures required to keep rail operations safe.
Keeping our team, the Tasmanian community and your families safe is our number one priority.
Working together we will keep the critical freight services operating and continue to provide Tasmanians with the goods they require access to at this time.
TasRail – we’re here for the long haul!
