Two North West Coast roads will be closed at key level crossings in January as part of TasRail’s $119.6 million upgrade of Tasmania’s freight rail network.
Works are scheduled at Kelcey Tier Road in Devonport and Tarleton Road in Tarleton as part of the level crossing improvements.
Diversions will be in place to ensure the safety of all motorists, pedestrians and TasRail’s employees and contractors.
The following closures are planned at the respective level crossings:
Kelcey Tier Road:
- Saturday, 6 January: 6.30am – 11.59pm
- Sunday, 7 January: 6.30am – 11.59pm
- Monday, 15 January: 9.30am – 3pm
Diversion: All traffic will be diverted via Sheffield Road and Melrose Road
Tarleton Road:
- Monday, 8 January: 7am – 6pm
Diversion: All traffic will be diverted via Cornicks Road
